A Standard Satellite System installation includes:

1) Site survey and mounting of satellite TV dish to an outside wall/roof of dwelling. Subject to our cable routing and worker safety policy.

2) Route up to one hundred twenty feet of cable between satellite dish and each satellite receiver (set top box) through one exterior wood framed wall, or up from basement / crawl space. Subject to our cable routing and worker safety policy.

3) Connect each satellite receiver to one co-located VCR and television using cables supplied by manufacturer.

4) Connect each receiver to an existing phone jack in same room w/supplied 25' phone wire.

5) Ground system to existing electrical service following TSi Installation Standard and local codes.

6) Contact the program provider to activate satellite television programming.

7) Program remote controls to operate TV on/off and volume. Not all remotes can be programmed to operate some televisions.

8) Educate customer on basic system operation. 20 minutes minimum.

9) Clean work space and remove any debris.

10) Customer walk-through inspection and sign off.


What is NOT included with a Standard Installation?

A standard installation will accommodate most consumers needs.  There are conditions which may require you to pay an additional fee for non-standard installations. Typical non-standard charges are for ground post installations, telephone jack installations, and fishing cables down through walls.

Below you will find a list of the most common non-standard types of installation which may result in a surcharge.  If you have any questions about custom installation work, you should talk to your installation technician a day or two before your scheduled installation date.

Non-Standard Installation surcharges
Ground Pole Mount installed.
Cable Burial. Includes 2 flooded coax cables buried to a minimum depth of 6" in reasonably average digging conditions. Does not include under walkway boring.
Wall Fish - Single floor, interior wall, no insulation
Connecting satellite receiver to a 2nd TV, using diplexers and existing coax on premise.
Connecting satellite receiver to a 2nd TV, requiring installation of additional coax cable.
Telephone jack installation
Custom labor for work not included in a Standard Installation
